Project description

Youth Planet and Grow Your Reader have been working together on a project called ‘We Can Change the World’. Its aim is to support children with physical disabilities and those from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds, with the ultimate goal of ensuring inclusiveness and breaking social stigmas. The hope is to boost the confidence of underprivileged and physically disabled children in Mymensingh, Bangladesh.

The project has been funded by Global Youth Mobilization, with help from the Big 6 Youth Organizations, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Foundation.

A B M Mahmodul Hassan says:

“Sadia and I both had the privilege of being Acumen Fellows in the 2022 cohort, where we discovered our shared passion and sense of responsibility. We decided to collaborate because we are deeply committed to a particular area of interest – an issue that holds immense significance in our society. Our focus revolves around special children, who are not only in need of special care but are also blessed with unique abilities. We firmly believe that these children are an integral part of our community, deserving of utmost attention and support.”
