QECT Announces 100 Young Leaders to Mark the Centenary of our late patron, Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The Queen Elizabeth II Commonwealth Trust (QECT) is delighted to announce the QECT 100 Young Leaders Awardees 2026, recognising 100 exceptional young changemakers from across the Commonwealth.

This special initiative marks what would have been the 100th birthday of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and honours her enduring belief in the power of young people to strengthen communities and shape the future of the Commonwealth.

Selected through a highly competitive process from thousands of applications, the awardees represent impactful work across education and employability, environment, food and agriculture, health, and inclusion. Their initiatives address pressing local challenges while contributing to global progress.

The QECT 100 Young Leaders Awards provide a global platform to elevate these changemakers, strengthen their visibility, and connect them with supporters, policymakers, and fellow leaders. Over the coming months, awardees will participate in curated programming, learning opportunities, and engagement across the Commonwealth.

Recognition events will take place in partnership with British High Commissions across multiple countries, celebrating youth leadership and strengthening Commonwealth collaboration.

This centenary year holds profound significance. Through the establishment of QECT, Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II created a lasting legacy to support young leaders whose work transforms lives. Today, that commitment continues under the patronage of His Majesty The King.
