About the QCT Network
The QCT Network is a community of over 850 mission-aligned changemakers between the ages of 18 and 35 years who are leading positive social change in the Commonwealth. It is a platform to build and foster worldwide connections among powerful young leaders, amplifying their learning and impact. The QCT Network has representation from across the Commonwealth countries, and its projects contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
My experience with the QCT Network Hub has been enriching, as I had the opportunity to apply for and become a QCT Thematic Lead for Inclusion. QCT also provides a monthly newsletter and an events calendar, where one can remotely have access to some incredible opportunities, alongside being a part of a thriving community of social impact leaders.
I joined the QCT Network Hub in September 2020. Connecting with people around my age who are passionate about creating a better world has been very encouraging. I can’t wait to see the fruits of our labour.
The QCT Network is a beautiful place to be. I enjoy the cross-country exposure it gives, in terms of the opportunity to meet with fellow QCT Network members from diverse cultural backgrounds as well as the different courses, roles and events that are offered to members from time to time. As a Thematic Lead, QCT has enabled me to connect more directly with amazing young leaders and the fantastic work they are all doing across the Commonwealth. The QCT Network is a big family.
I applied to be a part of the QCT Network with the hope that I would get to learn a lot from all the organisations based in different countries. And true enough, after I was chosen as a QCT Thematic Lead for Health, I got to know about the different contributions, achievements and way forward of different QCT members. It inspired me and motivated me and helped me think outside the box and move toward solutions.
I joined QCT as a young leader who is interested in expanding my network and community. A few months into the network, I became a QCT Thematic Lead. It has been an amazing experience for me, getting to organise events, meet people and support programmes in different communities. Above all, it has offered me the opportunity to learn and grow.
The QCT Network allows us to pick our experiences and creativity and transform these into appreciable solutions for human impact. We meet fellow young people who share the same vision despite our geographical and cultural differences, and we share knowledge, expertise and implement events together that strengthen our contribution to developmental discourse. The QCT Network has given me the platform to, together with fellow members, push the global education agenda and employability of young people across the world.
I joined the QCT Network in 2019 after being awarded a scholarship which gave me the opportunity to attend the 10th annual One Young World summit in London alongside 52 other outstanding young leaders from every country in the Commonwealth. Being a recipient of the QCT scholarship made a significant change in me. Today, I feel well equipped and empowered to be the change I want to see in my community, country and world at large. Being a QCT Network member has also helped me to build powerful connections and make lifelong friendships with people, many of whom I have collaborated with on projects across the Commonwealth. I have also had access to world-class mentorship and resources, which has greatly improved my leadership and problem-solving skills. QCT has given me the push and motivation I need to move forward with a positive attitude. I cannot afford to do little after such an eye-opening opportunity, for which I am very grateful.
The QCT Network has helped me to unleash my leadership capabilities through the thematic leadership position as well as through the leadership development resources available through the Network. I have also been able to cooperate with other QCT Network members to perform impactful initiatives in Tanzania.

We are always on the lookout for social entrepreneurs across the Commonwealth (between 18 and 35) who are actively leading and effecting positive change in their communities. When we are next accepting applications to the QCT Network, we will let you know here. In the meantime, feel free to read all about the collaborations currently taking place between network members, which you can see below.
Collaborations
QCT encourages its Network members to co-create and collaborate with each other to bring a change in their communities, their regions and across the Commonwealth. QCT believes in the power of young people working together to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Below are some ongoing and completed collaborations inspired by connections formed through the QCT Network. The collaborations are organically driven by our members across regions, sectors and thematic areas and are not funded by QCT.
